Norwegian Cruise Line recently announced big news for its largest ship, the Norwegian Encore. The 169,116-ton vessel will undergo a significant overhaul starting in November, which will include the addition of new cabins and redesigned suites. Additionally, the ship will see the expansion of popular dining venues and the introduction of a new adult zone on the top deck called Spice H2O.
The makeover will involve removing the ship’s laser tag arena to make room for the new adult zone, which will feature multiple hot tubs, daybeds, pools, and a large cocktail bar. The two dining venues getting an expansion are Cagney’s Steakhouse and Teppanyaki, which will take over the space previously occupied by other food venues on the ship.
In response to consumer demand, Norwegian Cruise Line is making changes to cater to guests’ preferences. The Premier Owner’s suites in The Haven area will be expanded to three-bedroom complexes, featuring three-and-a-half bathrooms, a renovated living room, and a separate dining room. The ship will also add 24 new balcony cabins and two club balcony cabins.
After the overhaul, the Norwegian Encore will embark on a 12-night transatlantic voyage from Southampton, England, to Miami, followed by winter sailings to the Caribbean from Miami. The ship will then reposition to Seattle in the spring for sailings to Alaska.
The changes to the Norwegian Encore are part of the cruise line’s commitment to enhancing guest experiences and providing top-notch amenities.
