The first puzzle, “All Together Now,” presented us with three statements that needed to be filled in with the correct numbers to make them true. By considering the numbers in the blanks and incorporating the numbers of the panels, we discovered two solutions that satisfied the conditions of the puzzle. Through careful analysis and deduction, we found that x = 5, y = 0, and z = 0 in the first solution, while x = 12, y = 6, and z = 1 in the second solution.
Moving on to the second puzzle, “One to Venn,” we encountered a Venn diagram with four squares and ten regions labeled A to J. The challenge was to assign each region a number between 1 and 10 such that no two regions shared the same number, and the sums of the regions in each square were equal. By carefully examining the intersections of the squares and applying logical reasoning, we determined that the value of D, the intersection of all four squares, was 7.
These puzzles not only entertained us but also sharpened our minds and honed our problem-solving abilities.
