Erin Twamley and Joshua Sneideman, the authors of the successful children’s book “Everyday Superheroes: Women in Energy Careers,” have teamed up with Enel North America and KidWind to create a new coloring and activity book called “Everyday Superheroes: An Energy Coloring and Activity Book.” This book is inspired by real-life Energy Superheroes and aims to educate and inspire students about careers in renewable energy.
The new coloring and activity book features a variety of hands-on activities, inspiring artwork, and educational doodles related to energy and renewable resources. Students can build a wind vane, solve tangrams, color real-life Energy Superheroes, and learn about their energy careers. The book also explores the wonders of electricity, wind, solar power, energy storage, and more through interactive doodling.
Michael Arquin, the founder of KidWind, expressed excitement about the new activity book and its potential to educate students about the diverse career opportunities in renewable energy. The activities in the book can be used in classrooms, at career fairs, and during KidWind Challenges to engage students and bring energy concepts to life.
Enel North America, a leading renewable energy operator, sponsored the project to inspire students to pursue careers in STEM fields, including renewable energy. In addition to collaborating on the “Everyday Superheroes” activity book, Enel also created its own coloring and activity book featuring real-life Energy Superheroes from the company. Enel will be donating copies of this book to partner school districts across North America to promote STEM education and opportunities in the energy sector.
The “Everyday Superheroes: An Energy Coloring and Activity Book” is scheduled to be released in October 2024 by publisher Wise Ink. The book aims to highlight the stories, careers, and superpowers of women working in STEM fields, with a focus on multicultural representation.
