School superintendents across the country are set to benefit from a new partnership between AASA, The Superintendents Association, and Cognia, a global nonprofit focused on educational growth. This collaboration aims to provide ongoing support, professional development, and innovative learning opportunities to help school leaders navigate the challenges they face daily.

Dr. David Shuler, executive director of AASA, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating that pooling resources and expertise will enhance the support available to school leaders and ultimately benefit all children. Dr. Mark A. Elgart, president and CEO of Cognia, highlighted the unique resources, networking opportunities, and coaching that aspiring and current superintendents will have access to as part of the partnership.

Members of AASA will be invited to participate in the Leadership Circle, a program offering various support services such as Solution Circles, Leader Chat podcasts, Think Tanks, Ambassador Support, and a National Online Learning Community. Additionally, leaders will have the opportunity to attend in-person summits at Cognia’s headquarters in Atlanta for targeted learning experiences and networking opportunities.

The collaboration between AASA and Cognia aims to create a supportive community where school leaders can collaborate, problem-solve, and network with peers facing similar challenges. Dr. Jeff Rose, Cognia’s senior vice president for leadership development and a former superintendent, emphasized the potential positive impact of this partnership on the future of school district leadership.
